Fragrances and perfumes :


A fragrance is defined as a combination of organic compounds that produces a distinct smell or odour. A perfume is a liquid mixture used to emit a pleasant odour. It is formed from fragrant essential oils derived from plants and spices or synthetic aromatic compounds.

Fragrance made of :


Natural ingredients such as flowers, grasses, spices, fruit, wood, roots, resins, balsams, leaves, gums, and animal secretions, like musk and ambergis, in addition to resources like: alcohol, petrochemicals, coal, and coal tars are often employed in the manufacture of perfumes.

Meaning of fragrance:


A sweet or delicate odor (as of fresh flowers, pine trees, or perfume)  something (such as a perfume) compounded to give off a sweet or pleasant odor.  The quality or state of having a sweet odor.

Examples of fragrance :


A fragrance is a smell, usually a pleasant or sweet smell. Often perfumes are called fragrances. If you like the fragrance of coffee, you like its smell. Unlike the word odor, which usually means a bad smell, fragrances are usually good smells. People love the fragrance of flowers and good food.


Floral fragrance :


Floral fragrance, or flower fragrance, is composed of all the volatile organic compounds (VOCs), or aroma compounds, emitted by floral tissue (e.g. flower petals). Other names for floral fragrance include, aroma, scent, floral odour or perfume. Flower fragrance of most flowering plant species encompasses a diversity of VOCs, sometimes up to several hundred different compounds. The primary functions of floral fragrance are to deter herbivores and especially folivorous insects, and to attract pollinators. Floral fragrance is one of the most important communication channels mediating plant-pollinator interactions, along with visual cues (flower color, shape, etc.).

Fruity fragrance :


Fruity perfumes usually burst out with ripe, fresh edible fruity notes that feature the scent of fruits other than citrus, such as pineapple, orange, strawberry, mango, lemon and others.

Herbal fragrance :


Herbal fragrance ingredients contains certain essential oils which is made into an alcohol base, which is then used to make a fragrance. The herbal fragrance ingredients are both top tones and mid tones.

Sweet fragrance :


Sweet fragrance notes are characterised by more intense and richer heart notes that are often described as being irresistible. The central building blocks of sweet perfumes are often the likes of vanilla, honey, dates, chocolate, coffee, tonka beans or coconut.

Natural fragrance :


Natural fragrances are complex compounds derived from natural aromatics that are extracted from nature, including trees, flowers and plants. 100% natural fragrances are exclusively derived from natural-origin materials and ingredients include essential oils, oleoresins, distillates, fractions and isolates.


Pure fragrance :


These are obtained from raw fruits, flowers, herbs, leaves, seeds, roots and woods through water or steam distillation. Sometimes these essential oils are also combined with a natural wax, such as soy or bees wax, to create a solid perfume.
